Another year older…

I can only hope I’m another year wiser. 🙂

My birthday is this Saturday. I have nothing planned which actually feels good. I’ve been going and going since the middle of August. This will be a quiet weekend… a quiet weekend full of birthday cake and sleeping in.

This past weekend I was in Arizona celebrating my Mom’s 70th. I can’t believe she’s 70. SHE can’t believe she’s 70. She said to me, “I feel the same inside. I only know I’m getting old because I’m watching the children in my life growing up.”

I know the feeling, Mom. (SJ will be a teenager in a little over a month.)

Yes, time is a cruel mistress but I wouldn’t give up the wisdom I’ve gained for youth. Unless it was a temporary thing, then I totally would. Heh.

Much love to you all! Birthday wishes can be sent here.

P.S.  This is it.  My Eat Fuck Kill popup shop closes on Saturday. Use coupon code “EatFuckBye” to get everything (except earrings) at 50% off! While supplies last, naturally.

SJ and Rusty

While in Phoenix, SJ and I witnessed some magic at the Colten Cowell Foundation‘s “Crime Fighting Cave.” Families who have a child with a life-threatening illness can come to this special “bat” cave to experience some fun together. We were invited to the season’s opening because I’m going to be doing some work for them. I’ll share photos when I can. It’s a TRIP.

Real things you can actually buy: YAY

Great baby gift: Srsly digging these screenprinted baby bibs that are fashioned after two of Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s favorite jabots, aka collars. Fun fact: When this Supreme Court Justice issues dissents, she wears the golden, armorlike one.

They’re called “Ruth Baby Ginsburg” and they are available for $16 each. Both can be had for $28.

Real things you can’t actually buy: yet

The Dadbag

Insta-beer belly: Though not yet in mass production, the Dadbag is a real thing. It’s a fanny pack that looks like an exposed “dad bod” belly. Its designer, London-based Albert Pukies, is looking for production partners to bring this bad boy to market. Until then, enjoy these images.
