Mighty generous hand

I have a lot to say but not a lot of time today. So, I’ll give you the Reader’s Digest version. For the first time in my life I feel fully present, not depressed about the past, and not (overly) anxious about the future. I feel oddly hopeful, yet also realistic about the state of affairs in the world. For the first time in my adult life, I don’t feel a huge urge to be behind a computer. I want to be out in the world — making things with my hands, hiking, camping, backpacking, Being.

What the hell is THIS? And is it cool if I smash my smartphone to pieces?

P.S. Don’t worry, I’m still tuned into all the things. I’m still here. For now.

Real book you can actually buy: f’ yay!

I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to get my f*cking hands on this book. It’s based on the HI-LARIOUS 2009 McSweeney’s essay by Colin Nissan, It’s Decorative Gourd Season, Motherfuckers, of course!  Available 9/28, pre-order now.

Pink-haired prodigy John “Halcyon” Styn wrote a book for his 50th birthday! I got a review copy of Protagonist: 50 Years of Life as Art and it was a real trip down the early Internet’s memory lane. To know John is to love John. And he’s made sure that we’ve know him since the nineties, starting with Prehensile.com and, of course, Cockybastard.com. Highly recommend this whether you were there or not!  Pre-order now.

Real masks you can actually buy: yes way!

“High Fashion Circus” entertainment company Kikimora Studio is now making face masks, and not just any face masks. These have EARS. (Unsanctioned) Baby Yoda and Scooby Doo ears, big ears, elf ears, and more! Spandex on the outside, heavily filtered on the inside.
