Rusty’s Electric Dreams, an inbox zine by pop culture activist Rusty Blazenhoff
Issue #058 :: The “Stix” Edition :: 11:11:2015

Stix Date…

It’s 11/11 today, or what I call “Stix Date.” It’s an offshoot of “Stix Time” (11:11 A/PM) and its shorter, less-celebrated cousin “Mini-Stix Time” (1:11 A/PM).

It’s also another special day.*

Our Artist-in-Residence Adam T. Davis has hid some more art…the new clue can be found below. Hint: this time it’s NOT in the East Bay.

Congratulations to the winners of the Star Wars contest! You’ll find their names below…!

Wait! Before you read the rest of the zine, did you know one of Lea Redmond’s products made it onto Oprah’s Favorite Things list? Yep, an artist in our community made the big time! Congrats, Lea. [Direct link to Oprah’s Favorite Things on Amazon: http://amzn.to/20LgziE]

“One of the most inspiring, weird and off-kilter collections of curated kitschy ephemera for the big-brained.”

A request from my friend Elliotte: “A group of badass ladies I’m part of are putting together bags to hand out to homeless folks during Santa Con. We want to make it more than just a huge raging pub crawl, and help people in need. We want to provide toiletries, clean socks, a non perishable snack, pads, tampons etc. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated. If you have anything you would like to contribute, please let me know. We’re putting them together on Dec 10. Thanks!!!!!”

HEY YOU
If YOU would like to co-curate an issue of Rusty’s Electric Dreams, I’d love to hear your idea! Please email me: rusty@blazenhoff.com.

Know about a cool event? Share it. I’ll do my best to include it in the next issue.

“I would have had an easier life if I were straight, but I would not be me.”

“We’re artists –not art factories. The money we need to live is often indistinguishable from the money we need to make art.”

Rusty’s Electric Dreams is a weekly inbox zine by Rusty Blazenhoff. These personally curated missives are beacons to signal and celebrate the global tribe of weird, wonderful, and “different” people (“the Others“).
