Punked

Folks, Friday is Fluffernutter Day. Look it up, it’s real. I might be the world’s biggest Fluff superfan but–I swear–I didn’t make it up. A day dedicated to the greatest sandwich in the world deserves something special. How about a special raffle of a special Fluff-filled package to benefit a special organization?

Introducing the “Eat Fluff Chill” Fluffernutter plate, a one-of-a-kind collaboration by me and my friend Roxane of Snow Day Clay. We’re raffling off a whole package. Go see.

P.S. No really, this took a lot of time and effort. Go see!!

This trippy puzzle is part of Alma Haser’s “Within 15 Minutes” project. For it, she photographs identical twins, makes puzzles of the photos, and then swaps every other piece to mix it half and half.

Real things you can actually buy: Yay!

It’s like midcentury meets Marimekko (but a lot more affordable): I’m absolutely bananas for Mrs Fishkin’s retro line of print-on-demand products. There are sneakers (those gingham ones WILL be mine), scarves, tea towels, bags, and more! It’s all the creation of Arin Fishkin, an East Bay designer who I have the pleasure of knowing in real life.

[Online :: ends 10/8] As previously announced, “Eat Fuck Kill” is part of Sotheby’s Boundless Space… The Possibilities of Burning Man online auction. As of this writing, bidding is up to $300 which is pretty great considering it was “valued” at $100-$200. But there’s a lot more going on with that particular lot. It’s a long story, one that’s been unfolding over several days, and it can be summed up in “you can take the girl out of Cacophony but you can’t take the Cacophony out of the girl.” If you want the whole story, I hammered it all out in a Boing Boing post.

An art student in China made this vending machine that spits out broken plates, calling it “这是我们愚蠢的证明.” Translated to English, that’s “This is proof of our stupidity.” Personally, I see nothing stupid about this. It’s awesome.
